  • Work history: List the companies you’ve worked for over the last 10-15 years, in reverse chronological order. Include the dates of employment, your job title, and several bullet point examples of accomplishments for each position.

  • Education: As the name suggests, this section is where you highlight your educational achievements. Include the school’s name, course of study, and degree you earned. You can also include information about certifications, continuing education, and other training.

How to show your value

When we talk about demonstrating your potential value as an employee, what we’re really talking about is providing prospective employers with clear examples of how your accomplishments have translated into measurable value for previous employers. To showcase that value, you should try to describe your achievements using real numbers that quantify the positive results you’ve provided throughout your career.
